I bet you were eagerly anticpating this one! It's almost the official end to the Britney and K-Fed divorce drama! Laura Wasser (Britney's high powered attorney) and K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan started the process in motion today in Los Angeles Superior Court.
TMZ reports that Wasser will make a motion to keep the custody and spousal support orders secret. And while K-Fed has mentioned that he has plans of trying to get full custody of their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, Britney is putting up the best fight she can.
Insiders believe that the custody will stay at 50/50, despite Spears’ recent erratic behavior. And while this doesn’t make Federline all that happy, he is said to be handling the matter like a gentleman.
And as far as money matters are concerned, TMZ reports, “K-Fed is pulling in 15K a month from Britney for child support. He’s also getting 20 grand a month in spousal support, but that’s based on the prenup, and it appears the alimony gravy train will come to a screeching halt in November.”
We’ll be sure to keep you updated as more details emerge. Until then, enjoy the pictures of Britney driving around town on July 30, filming her music video stripper pole scenes, and some rare finds of Brit at Club One just 5 days before her infamous head-shaving incident. Does she really get partial custody?
It must be nice to decide to buy a multimillion dollar home at the drop of a hat. But that’s the kind of girl our favorite starlet has become. Whatever Britney wants, Britney gets.
Yesterday, the pop singer decided to check out a Pacific Palisades property listed at $6.5 million as a possible new place to call “home.” And she didn’t waste any time getting comfy. In fact, her bodyguard removed the “open house” and “for sale” signs at Britney’s prompting.
Pop superstar Britney has reportedly revealed to several sources that she’s considering putting her career on hold to care for her two young sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. She enjoys spending every minute of her time with them and dreads leaving them to go to the studio. However, her track record as a mother hasn’t been very good over the last few months. Her frequent partying and month long stint in rehab leave many wondering if she can cut it as a full-time mom. Not to mention reports of dropping Sean Preston and buckling her baby into his carseat backwards. But maybe the media has been overly harsh on Britney by exaggerating the negative experiences with her children. For now, Britney has shared custody of her sons, although they are living with her.
Looks like Britney’s in trouble again. She’s fired her manager, Larry Rudolph, who is reportedly very upset over the situation. Rumor has it that Britney is blaming him for many of her recent problems, such as her out-of control partying, and was angry that he sent her to rehab. We find it a bit hard to believe that he forced her to party with Paris sans underwear and shave her head, but you never know. She had a 5-year contract with him, so it is possible that he may sue her. Associated Content has reported that a supposed close source of Britney said, “She didn't know what she was doing at the time, and can't stand him." To make matters worse, a bizarre video of Brit has turned up online where she goes on a sarcastic rant about how nice our world is and how great it was that her former manager decided to send her to rehab.
Even Britney Spears needs a little help getting rid of that pesky baby-weight!
The star was seen leaving the "Advanced Lipo-dissolve Centre" in Las Vegas this week and is said to be receiving treatment there in an effort to help remove her post-baby tummy. She was reportedly frustrated at how slowly the pounds were coming off despite diet, exercise and dance training.
We all heard about Britney's mystery-man in rehab, and his identity didn't stay secret for long.
It's none other then Howie Day!
Whose Howie Day you ask? Remember that song "Collide" that played on the radio over and over? That guy.
Britney it would seem is sticking to her preference for bad-boys, as Howie landed himself in rehab after an arrest for disorderly conduct and verbally abusing flight staff when drunk. Britney reportedly spent time getting to know Howie in their group therapy sessions and felt they had a "connection".
It's finally over!
Britney and estranged husband Kevin Federline have finally settled the conditions of their very public divorce. Britney reportedly got the whole thing over with in a 5 hour sit down with Kevin and legal counsel, going over the terms of her well-written pre-nup and making a few concessions to speed things up.
Timberlake and TimbalandThe ultimate beat-crafter, Timbaland, who has produced hits for Justin Timberlake amongst others, is dying help the troubled Britney Spears get it together again. “I feel her pain; it really bothers me,” the 34-year-old rapper-producer told Entertainment Weekly. “I’m the type of person who tries to save the world. I just want to take her away, go overseas and work it out.”
Brit's breakin' the rulesIt has been two long weeks since Britney Spears checked into rehab. During this time, Britney has had a difficult time making it and broken a few rules along the way, leaving her friends and family wondering if she will complete her stint at the Promises center. “Sources tell us that Britney is miserable in rehab and she’s breaking rules,” Us Weekly Editor Katrina Szish divulged. “She’s left on shopping trips and using her cell phone too much.” Britney was somewhat stiff-armed into entering rehab by her family, manager, and ex-husband, Kevin Federline. How committed she is to the program is still up in the air. The question on everyone’s mind is whether she entered solely to retain custody of her children or because she realized that she has a problem.
